The 2009 Chevy Cobalt is available as either a two-door coupe with four trims (LS, LT, Sport and SS Turbocharged) or a four-door sedan with three trims (LS, LT and Sport).
The LS and the LT trims come standard with a 148-hp 2.2-liter engine and a five-speed manual transmission, while the Sport comes with a 171-hp 2.4-liter engine and a five-speed manual transmission. The high performance Chevy Cobalt SS Turbocharged comes with a 260-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a five-speed manual transmission. A four-speed automatic is optional on all trims except the SS.
